Tringa nebularia

The Common Greenshank (Tringa nebularia) is a wader bird found in wetlands, marshes, and coastal areas across Europe, Asia, and Africa. It is known for its long, slender legs and slightly upturned bill, which it uses to forage for small invertebrates in shallow water. During the breeding season, it displays a mottled brown and white plumage, while in winter, it adopts a more uniform grayish-white appearance. This species is known for its distinctive, melodious three-note whistle call. The Common Greenshank is a migratory bird, traveling long distances between its breeding and wintering grounds.
