Curruca communis

The Common Whitethroat (Curruca communis) is a small migratory songbird found in Europe, Asia, and Africa. It is known for its distinctive song, a series of scratchy warbles and whistles. This bird prefers open areas with shrubs and bushes, such as hedgerows, scrublands, and woodland edges. The Common Whitethroat has a greyish-brown upper body, a white throat, and a pale underbelly. It is a small-sized bird, with a wingspan of around 20-23 cm. The conservation status of the Common Whitethroat is of Least Concern according to the IUCN Red List.
