Foudia eminentissima Bonaparte, 1850
Comoro Fody, Foudia eminentissima, is a passerine in the family Ploceidae and breeds in the Comoros. It was described by Bonaparte in 1850. It is the bird once known as the red-headed fody, and the name has also been applied to forms that were formerly treated as part of it, including aldabrana and the forest fody from Madagascar. Its recognised range is in Africa, within the Comoros.
