Comoro Olive Pigeon, Columba pollenii, is a pigeon of the Comoros in Africa, where it breeds in the islands’ moist montane forests. It is the largest bird in the Comoro Islands and is set apart from other pigeons by its dark plumage. Young birds have a bright yellow bill, while adults show a dull green or brown one. It is found in Comoros, especially on Mount Karthala, and also on Mayotte. The species was described by Schlegel in 1865.
