Afropavo congensis

The Congo Peafowl, also known as the African Peafowl, is a striking bird native to the dense forests of the Congo Basin in central Africa. This species is known for its iridescent plumage, with males displaying vibrant blue, green, and bronze colors, while females have a more subdued appearance. They are ground-dwelling birds and are typically found foraging for fruits, seeds, and small invertebrates in the forest understory.
