Copper Sunbird, Cinnyris cupreus, is a passerine of the family Nectariniidae found across western, central, eastern and south-central Africa. It is resident throughout its range, which stretches from Senegal and Guinea east to South Sudan and Kenya, and south to Angola, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Mozambique. Its main habitat is savanna, but it also uses degraded forest, woodland, marshes, mangroves, coastal thickets and farmland. The species is widespread and common, and its conservation status is least concern.
