Leptocoma calcostetha (Jardine, 1842)
Copper-throated Sunbird, Leptocoma calcostetha, is a sunbird of the Oriental Region, breeding from Myanmar to Palawan in the south-west Philippines, as well as in Borneo, the Natuna Islands north-west of Borneo, and Java. It is a member of the Nectariniidae family and was described by Jardine in 1842. This bird is associated with coastal areas and also uses plantations, coconut groves, rural gardens, tropical lowlands, mangroves, heath forest and alluvial forest. It is often seen around flowering shrubs and trees, especially in the upper and middle parts of the canopy.
