Cornelia's Eclectus Parrot (Eclectus cornelia) is a striking parrot species found in the Solomon Islands. It is known for its vibrant plumage and distinct sexual dimorphism, with males displaying bright emerald green plumage and females adorned in a combination of red and purple. These parrots inhabit lowland rainforests and are often observed foraging for fruits, nuts, and seeds in the canopy. They are highly social birds and form strong pair bonds. Unfortunately, due to habitat loss and trapping for the pet trade, the conservation status of Cornelia's Eclectus Parrot is currently listed as Vulnerable by the IUCN.
