Corsican Finch Carduelis corsicana is a finch of Corsica, Sardinia, Gorgona, Capraia and Elba, breeding in open woodland and scrub across the south-western Palearctic. It is closely tied to these islands and moves to lower elevations outside the breeding season. The bird was first described in 1899. It is very similar to the citril finch, but differs in its plumage, with a brown back marked by dark streaking, less green on the face and underparts, and greyer uppertail coverts. Females are duller than males.
