Rhipidura coultasi
Coulson's Fantail (Rhipidura coultasi) is a small passerine bird found in the forests and woodlands of New Guinea. This bird is known for its distinctive fan-shaped tail and agile, acrobatic flight. It has a striking black and white plumage with subtle rufous markings on the wings and tail. Coulson's Fantail is an insectivorous species, foraging for insects and small invertebrates by making quick sallies from perches. It is often found in the mid to upper levels of the forest canopy, where it flits and darts in pursuit of its prey. This species is not currently considered to be at risk, and its population is believed to be stable.
