Cream-eyed Bulbul, Pycnonotus pseudosimplex, is a bulbul of the Oriental Region, breeding on Borneo. It is confined to the island and is mainly found in old-growth hill forest. The bird was once treated as part of the cream-vented bulbul complex, but genetic work shows the Bornean white-eyed population is distinct. It is also linked most closely with the ashy-fronted bulbul of Palawan, while the Bornean red-eyed population is closer to white-eyed P. simplex from mainland Southeast Asia.
