Grallaricula lineifrons (Chapman, 1924)
Crescent-faced Antpitta, Grallaricula lineifrons, is a passerine of the antpitta family that breeds in central and southern Colombia and in Ecuador. It lives in the undergrowth of humid mountain forest, including cloud forest and elfin forest close to treeline, and is recorded mainly above 2,900 m, reaching at least 3,700 m in Colombia and 3,500 m in Ecuador. It is a resident bird. The sexes look alike, and adults show the white crescent that gives the bird its name, running from the crown across the face almost to the throat, with a small white mark behind the eye.
