Crested Fireback

Lophura ignita

The Crested Fireback, scientifically known as Lophura ignita, is a striking bird native to the forests of Southeast Asia. This species is characterized by its vibrant plumage, with the male displaying a glossy black body, fiery red and white head, and a distinct crest. The female is more subtly colored with a mottled brown appearance. These birds are known for their distinctive calls and courtship displays.
