Crested Quetzal, Pharomachrus antisianus, is a bird of the Trogonidae family in South America, with a breeding range from Venezuela to northern Bolivia. It lives in Andean forest, including moist montane woodland and mature second-growth growth at mid to high elevations. The male is the only quetzal with a short crest above a short bill, and the bill is orange. Adult males also show metallic green upperparts with a red breast and belly, while females have a brown head and upper breast and no crest. It was described by d'Orbigny in 1837.
