Crimson-backed Sunbird, Leptocoma minima, is a resident bird of the Western Ghats in south-west India, within the Oriental Region. It belongs to the sunbird family and breeds there. It is a tiny forest bird, often seen in gardens and other flower-rich places at the forest edge. The male shows crimson on the back and wing coverts, a red breast band, a green crown and pink-violet on the throat and rump, while the female is olive-brown with a red rump.
