Crimson-bellied Parakeet, Pyrrhura perlata, is a South American parakeet found from central Brazil to northern Bolivia. It belongs to the Psittacidae family and is a non-migratory bird of humid lowland forests, including forest edges and secondary growth, with a presence in drier forest too. Its breeding range lies in the Amazon Basin, and it is recorded up to 600 m. The species is monotypic. Adults show the same plumage in both sexes, and young birds differ by having a mostly green belly.
