The Crimson-winged Finch (Carpodacus sipahi) is a striking bird found in the mountainous regions of Central Asia. It is known for its vibrant crimson and black plumage, with distinctive white markings on the wings. These finches are often found in alpine meadows and scrubby slopes, where they forage for seeds and insects. Their melodious song can often be heard echoing through the valleys. The Crimson-winged Finch is a small, social bird that forms flocks outside of the breeding season. Although not currently classified by the IUCN, their populations may face threats from habitat loss and climate change.
