Croaking Ground Dove, Columbina cruziana, is a pigeon in the family Columbidae that breeds in South America from northern Ecuador to northern Chile. It is a bird of the Pacific side of the continent, with a range that also reaches Peru and, in the north, Colombia. It lives in dry and semi-dry country with scrub and thickets along watercourses, and it is also often seen in farmland, gardens and parks. It is mainly a lowland species, though it can occur at 2,400 m.
