Croaking Ground Dove

The Croaking Ground Dove (Columbina cruziana) is a small, terrestrial dove found in South America. It is characterized by its distinctive cooing call, which sounds like a frog's croak, and its brownish-gray plumage with a hint of iridescence on the neck. These doves are commonly found in open habitats such as grasslands, savannas, and agricultural areas. They are often seen foraging on the ground for seeds and grains. The Croaking Ground Dove is a small bird, measuring about 16-18 centimeters in length. Its conservation status is currently listed as Least Concern by the IUCN.
