Amazona leucocephala
The Cuban Amazon, also known as the Cuban Parrot, is a species of parrot native to Cuba and the Bahamas. These medium-sized parrots are known for their striking white head and bright green plumage. They are highly social birds, often seen in flocks, and are known for their loud and raucous calls. Cuban Amazons primarily inhabit forests, woodlands, and agricultural areas, where they feed on fruits, seeds, and nuts. Unfortunately, habitat loss and illegal trapping for the pet trade have led to a decline in their population, and they are currently listed as Endangered by the IUCN.
