Ara tricolor

The Cuban Macaw, scientifically known as Ara tricolor, is a strikingly beautiful parrot species native to Cuba. This medium-sized macaw is known for its vibrant plumage, featuring a combination of red, blue, and green feathers. Cuban Macaws are highly social birds, often found in flocks, and are known for their loud and raucous calls. They primarily inhabit forested areas and are particularly associated with palm groves and savannas. Unfortunately, the Cuban Macaw is considered critically endangered, with only a few individuals remaining in the wild due to habitat loss and illegal trapping for the pet trade.
