The Cuban Quail-Dove (Geotrygon versicolor) is a species of dove endemic to Cuba. It is known for its striking plumage, with a mix of iridescent green, purple, and bronze colors on its upperparts, and a rich chestnut color on its underparts. This medium-sized dove is often found in dense forests, where it forages for seeds, fruits, and insects on the forest floor. The Cuban Quail-Dove's distinctive call is a series of low, mournful coos. Due to habitat loss and hunting, the conservation status of this species is currently listed as Vulnerable by the IUCN.
