Curl-crested Aracari, Pteroglossus beauharnaisii, is a toucan of the southwestern Amazon in South America, breeding in western Amazonia. It occurs in Bolivia, Brazil and Peru, and lives in wet forest, including interior areas, clearings and edges, in both well-drained and swampy places. It is known for the curly black feathers on the crown and nape that give it its name. The species was described by Wagler in 1831 and is the only member of its genus.
