Campylorhamphus procurvoides
The Curved-billed scythebill is a medium-sized bird found in the tropical forests of South America. It is known for its distinctive curved bill, which it uses to probe for insects and small vertebrates in the bark of trees. This species is often observed moving stealthily through the understory, emitting a series of sharp, high-pitched calls. The plumage of the Curved-billed scythebill is predominantly brown and gray, providing excellent camouflage in its dense forest habitat. While not much is known about its population trends, it is believed to be relatively stable within its range.
