D'Orbigny's Chat-Tyrant, Ochthoeca oenanthoides, is a bird of the Andes in Peru, Bolivia, Chile and north-west Argentina. It belongs to the Tyrannidae family and is a year-round resident. The species is found on the western slope of the Andes, mainly in dry montane forest and woodland, especially where Polylepis grows. It also uses ravines and rocky slopes with scattered shrubs. The sexes look alike, and the two subspecies differ in overall tone, with O. o. polionota being darker than the nominate form.
