Dagua Thrush

Dagua Thrush Turdus daguae is a passerine in the thrush family, found from Panama through western Colombia to north-west Ecuador. It was described by Berlepsch in 1897 and is treated as a full species without subspecies. The sexes look alike. Adults show a slightly reddish dark brown head, a paler face, a white throat marked with brown streaks, and a yellow eye-ring. The upperparts, wings and tail are dark brown with a faint reddish wash. The breast is dusky brown, the centre of the belly and vent are whitish, and the undertail coverts are whitish to white.
