Leiothrichidae — Laughingthrushes & Allies

Dark-backed Sibia, Heterophasia melanoleuca, is a passerine of the Leiothrichidae family that breeds in Southeast Asia, including China, Myanmar and Thailand. It is associated with subtropical or tropical moist montane forests. It was described by Blyth in 1859. Formerly, it was treated with the black-headed sibia, H. desgodinsi, and it is sometimes placed in the genus Malacias rather than Heterophasia.
