Carpodacus rodopeplus
The Dark-breasted Rosefinch (Carpodacus rodopeplus) is a medium-sized finch found in the mountainous regions of Central Asia. It has a distinctive dark pinkish-red plumage on the breast and a combination of brown, gray, and olive colors on the back and wings. This species is known for its melodious song and is often found in alpine meadows, shrubby slopes, and coniferous forests. Dark-breasted Rosefinches primarily feed on seeds and insects. Their populations are currently stable, and they are not considered to be at risk of extinction.
