Dark-sided Thrush, Zoothera marginata, is a bird of the thrush family Turdidae that breeds across the Oriental Region from the Himalayas to Thailand. It was described by Blyth in 1847. Also called the lesser brown thrush, long-billed ground-thrush and dark-sided ground-thrush, it is a member of Passeriformes and has no subspecies. It is closely allied to other Zoothera thrushes, including the long-billed thrush and scaly thrush. Its range is discontinuous, and it occurs in broadleaf forest, especially in damp places and beside rocky streams, as well as in reed and bamboo within those forests.
