Pterorhinus davidi
David's Fulvetta (Pterorhinus davidi) is a small passerine bird found in the eastern Himalayas. It has a distinctive olive-green upper body, with a bright yellow underside and a black crown. This species is known for its melodious and varied songs, often heard in the dense undergrowth of broadleaf and coniferous forests. David's Fulvetta forages for insects and small fruits in the lower and middle levels of the forest, often in mixed-species flocks. It is a social bird and forms strong pair bonds during the breeding season. Despite facing habitat loss and fragmentation, the population trend of this species is currently stable.
