Dinelli's Woodhaunter

Pseudocolopteryx dinelliana

Dinelli's Woodhaunter (Pseudocolopteryx dinelliana) is a small, secretive bird species found in the cloud forests of the Andes mountains in South America. It is known for its distinctive olive-green plumage, with a pale throat and a rufous tail. This species is primarily insectivorous, foraging for insects and small invertebrates in the dense undergrowth of its forest habitat. The Woodhaunter is often heard before it is seen, with its distinctive high-pitched calls echoing through the forest. Due to its elusive nature and remote habitat, much about the behavior and ecology of Dinelli's Woodhaunter remains unknown to science.
