Dot-winged Antwren, Microrhopias quixensis, is a passerine of the antbird family that breeds from southern Mexico through Middle America and on into southern Amazonia. It is the only species in Microrhopias. Across its wide range it uses tropical evergreen and secondary forest with dense vine growth, and it tends to favour edges and openings rather than the heart of intact forest. In northern Central America it also occurs in low semi-deciduous forest and some rainforest, while farther south it can be found in shaded cacao and guava plantations, bamboo stands and várzea forest.
