Drakensberg Prinia, Prinia hypoxantha, is a passerine of eastern South Africa and western Swaziland. It breeds in the Drakensberg, where it uses forest margins, wooded gullies and bracken-covered slopes. Formerly treated as part of the Karoo Prinia, it is now recognised as a separate bird. It has short rounded wings, a fairly long tail, strong legs and a straight black bill. The head shows a pale eyebrow, the underparts are yellowish with dark streaking, and the tail carries a dark mark near the tip.
