Dusky Chlorospingus, Chlorospingus semifuscus, is a passerine of the family Passerellidae that breeds in western Colombia and western Ecuador. It lives in wet montane forest in foothill and subtropical zones, especially in misty places rich in epiphytes. The species was first described in 1873 by Sclater and Salvin. It is a year-round resident. Its range includes the western slope of Colombia’s Western Andes, the Pacific side of the Andes in Colombia, and south-western Ecuador, including El Oro and adjacent Loja.
