Dusky Crimsonwing, Cryptospiza jacksoni, is a species of estrildid finch in the Albertine Rift montane forests of Africa, with a breeding range in eastern DR Congo, western Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi. It belongs to the family Estrildidae and the order Passeriformes. The scientific name was given by Sharpe in 1902. Its name honours the English explorer Frederick John Jackson.
