Dusky Lark, Pinarocorys nigricans, breeds in central and southern Africa. It is a lark of the family Alaudidae and is native to southern Central Africa. Its range includes south-eastern DR Congo, north-western Zambia, south-western Tanzania, south-western DR Congo and northern Angola. It was formerly placed in the genera Alauda and Mirafra before being moved to Pinarocorys. Two subspecies are recognised: P. n. nigricans and P. n. occidentis.
