Dusky Lory, Pseudeos fuscata, is a parrot of Australasia that breeds on Salawati, Yapen and mainland New Guinea. It lives in lowland and montane forest across that range. It is a member of the Psittaculidae, and its placement in Pseudeos is confirmed by mitochondrial work. The bird is also known by several other names, including white-rumped lory and dusky-orange lory, and it occurs in two wild colour phases, one orange or red and the other yellow. It was described by Blyth in 1858.
