Dusky Parrot, Pionus fuscus, is a parrot of humid lowland forest in northern South America, with a breeding range from northern Colombia and eastern Venezuela to northern and north-eastern Brazil. It is a mainly dark brownish-grey bird in the true parrot family. Its plumage includes a grey eye-ring, pale feathers on the upper neck, a pinkish-red wash on the belly, red undertail coverts, blue wings and tail, and red at the tail base. It nests in tree cavities, and the female sits on the eggs for about 26 days.
