Dusky Tetraka, Crossleyia tenebrosa, is a rare breeder in north-eastern Madagascar and belongs to the Bernieridae family. It is a forest bird of moist lowland tropical and subtropical habitat, and it is known only from Madagascar. The species was once placed in Xanthomixis, but a genetic study published in 2019 led to its transfer to Crossleyia. It was described by Stresemann in 1925. In 2023, three birds were found in northern Madagascar after it had been thought lost, with the last previous record in 1999.
