East Amazonian Fire-eye, Pyriglena leuconota, is a passerine antbird found in eastern Brazil, where it breeds in the east Amazonian region. It belongs to the Thamnophilidae family and was first described by Spix in 1824. The bird is set apart by its bright red irises. It occurs in dense understorey within lowland and foothill evergreen forest, especially along forest edges, in mature secondary growth, and in openings created by fallen trees. Its range is disjunct, with one population in the Amazon Basin and another in north-eastern Brazil.
