Eastern Chat-Tanager, Calyptophilus frugivorus, is a passerine of the family Calyptophilidae that breeds on Hispaniola in North America. It is confined to the island, with the surviving form found in the Sierra de Neiba of the western Dominican Republic and possibly extending into Haiti. The bird has a long bill and tail, giving it a mockingbird-like outline. The sexes look alike. It lives in dense undergrowth in montane forest, especially in ravines and beside streams, and is usually seen on or near the ground.
