The Eastern Wood-Pewee is a small, migratory bird found in eastern North America. It is known for its distinctive 'pee-a-wee' call and is often found perched on branches in open woodlands. This species primarily feeds on flying insects, which it catches in mid-air using agile flight maneuvers. The Eastern Wood-Pewee is a subtle but attractive bird, with a dull olive-brown upper body and a pale yellowish belly. It is an important indicator of healthy forest ecosystems and is a popular subject for birdwatchers and researchers.
