Eastern Wood-Pewee

The Eastern Wood-Pewee is a small migratory bird found in eastern North America. It is known for its distinctive 'pee-a-wee' song and its habit of perching on exposed branches to catch flying insects. This species is primarily insectivorous and can be found in deciduous woodlands, forest edges, and open woodlands. It has a drab olive-brown plumage with a pale throat and a slightly crested head. The Eastern Wood-Pewee is considered a species of least concern by the IUCN, but it may face threats from habitat loss and climate change.
