Egyptian Nightjar

The Egyptian Nightjar is a medium-sized nocturnal bird found in the deserts and arid regions of North Africa and the Middle East. With cryptic plumage that provides excellent camouflage, it is well adapted to its sandy habitat. This species is primarily insectivorous, feeding on a variety of flying insects such as moths and beetles. Its distinctive call, a series of churring and clucking sounds, is often heard at dusk and dawn as it hunts for prey. The Egyptian Nightjar is a master of stealth, relying on its exceptional camouflage and nocturnal habits to avoid predators.
