El Oro Tapaculo, Scytalopus robbinsi, is a passerine of the tapaculo family found in south-west Ecuador. It lives in the undergrowth of humid forest on the Andean slope, with a breeding range in El Oro, Guayas and Cañar provinces. It was first described in 1997 by Krabbe and Schulenberg. The bird is small, with a black bill that is fairly heavy. Its plumage is grey, with a brown nape and rump, brown barring on the flanks, and a blackish tail. The female has browner underparts than the male.
