Ducula concinna (Wallace, 1865)

Elegant Imperial Pigeon, Ducula concinna, is a pigeon of small islands in Wallacea and off New Guinea, including Sangihe and Talaud, the Flores Sea islands south of Sulawesi, the eastern Lesser Sundas from Romang to Tanimbar, the Banda, Manuk, Kai and Tanimbar islands, the Aru Islands, and islets off the Bomberai Peninsula and Bird’s Neck. It was first described by Wallace in 1865. It is a large pigeon with dark blue-green upperparts and an iridescent sheen, pale grey head, neck and underparts, and red-brown undertail coverts. It also occurs in forest, forest edge and cultivated trees.
