Emerald Starling, Lamprotornis iris, is a passerine in the starling family that breeds in Guinea, Sierra Leone and Ivory Coast. It is a West African bird of lowlands and savanna, and is one of the smallest starlings. Its plumage is metallic green on the crown, upper body, wings and tail, with metallic purple ear-coverts and underparts. The sexes look alike. It was described by Oustalet in 1879.
