Equatorial Greytail, Xenerpestes singularis, is a passerine in the ovenbird family Furnariidae and occurs in Ecuador to northern Peru. It is a small, monotypic bird of the eastern Andean foothills, living in humid montane forest, both within the interior and along the edges. It stays in the same area all year. The species is scarce and local in a restricted range, and its habitats are under pressure from farming, cattle pasture, mining and logging. It was described by Taczanowski and Berlepsch in 1885.
