Ethiopian Thrush, Turdus simensis, is a thrush of the family Turdidae that breeds in Ethiopia and Eritrea. It was first described by Rüppell in 1837. The bird is known for its brown upperparts, the two dark vertical bars on its face, its spotted underparts, and a tail that is short for a thrush. It is also browner and less grey above than the groundscraper thrush, with a face pattern that is still clear but less strongly marked.
