It is known for its haunting, bubbling call that echoes across its breeding grounds in moorlands, grasslands, and wetlands. This migratory bird has a mottled brown plumage that provides excellent camouflage in its preferred habitats. Eurasian Curlews feed on invertebrates and small vertebrates found in mudflats, estuaries, and coastal areas.
