Linaria cannabina

The Eurasian Linnet, scientifically known as Linaria cannabina, is a small passerine bird that belongs to the finch family. It is characterized by its brown and grey plumage, with males displaying a pinkish-red breast and forehead during the breeding season. These birds are often found in open countryside, heathland, and farmland, where they forage for seeds and insects. Eurasian Linnets are known for their melodious song, especially during the breeding season. They are social birds and often form flocks during the non-breeding season. Despite facing some threats from habitat loss and intensive agriculture, the Eurasian Linnet is currently classified as Least Concern by the IUCN.
